The Aedes Network Campus Berlin, ANCB, is a theoretical but practical-oriented laboratory for space and design strategies evolving outside of rigidly predetermined institutional structures. The ANCB is based on the idea of international exchange. It will act as a point of convergence for a number of academic partners from Europe, America, Asia, Australia and Africa; at the same time it will also provide an interface between professionals and the general public. The ANCB is an interdisciplinary laboratory for emerging concepts in urban development, architecture and design. Through its programme the ANCB allows its participants to evaluate issues of urban culture and social and technological developments from the perspectives of different disciplines and approaches; an ideal basis for a continuous inter academic dialogue.
